Singer, Songwriter, Storyteller

As a songwriter and performing artist, I care way more about feeling something than getting everything “perfect.” I don’t use AI in my creative work. I’m interested in vulnerability, big emotions, radical ideas, and creating the kind of shows where I can look audience members directly in the eye.

Here are some things people have said about me:

“I love how you balance complex emotions—happy, sad, and everything in between—while also honoring your audience and their humanity. Even during your ‘sad’ songs, you maintain a beautiful sense of hope that is both unexpected and deeply inspiring.”

“Thammarat is a vocal powerhouse equally at home with pop belting and falsetto whispers. His original songs are like mini-musicals, delivering political truths and romantic half-truths in a narrative form — sometimes including a plot twist.”

I’ve trained as a vocalist since middle school, working across classical, contemporary, and musical theatre styles. Along the way, I’ve honed my craft through places like Interlochen Center for the Arts, Berklee College of Music, and The New School (including Mannes and the School of Jazz).

I’ve also had the incredible privilege of learning from and collaborating with some true legends:

  • Marlon Saunders: You may recognize him as the Calypso Singer in Disney’s Enchanted, where he sings “That’s How You Know” alongside Amy Adams — or from his work with Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Bobby McFerrin, Sting, Billy Joel, and others. He’s also the voice behind Knuckles’ iconic theme “Unknown From M.E.” in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.

  • Andrea Stolpe: She is a multi-platinum creative consultant, songwriter, and Berklee/USC educator who’s written for artists like Faith Hill, Julianne Hough, and Jimmy Wayne. She leads in-person, global songwriting retreats, which is how I first met her.

  • Biti Strauchn: I had the honor of working with Biti during my time at The New School. She is a Broadway performer and recording artist.

  • Aurelius Gori: Classical vocalist and vocal coach.

I am also a passionate singer-activist. I performed for six seasons with Washington, DC’s GenOUT Youth Chorus, and represented the ensemble at the 2019 Matthew Shepard Plaque Dedication Ceremony at Washington National Cathedral. In 2022, I served as a founding member of Unjust Intonation, The New School’s first competitive, all-gender a cappella group, where I organized a performance at Judson Memorial Church in solidarity with striking part-time faculty.

Today, I stay rooted in my community as the tenor section leader at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda, MD, while continuing to perform regularly around the DMV and NYC.
